The architectural concept includes a promenade out of renewable resources on a length of more than 500 metres, into which a running track is integrated. It forms several organically shaped platforms, the characteristic design element of which are light, blossom-shaped canopies on slender supports which provide shade and, at the same time, collect energy on their surface equipped with photovoltaic systems. In the shade beneath the canopies various, specially designed lounge furniture invite visitors to linger; there is space for contemplation, leisure and relaxation. In the direction of the beach the architecture opens up with specially designed sunbeds and parasols.

Several lounges, hospitality as well as a bicycle and boat rental, a surf shop and other shops are located in pavilions with a wooden outer shell. Their axes, facing the ocean, are permeable; glass facades provide a view of the sea.

The concept is complete with various sports facilities and event locations for diverse purposes, which are also located on the generously planted platforms.

In addition, 3deluxe are planning an artificial reef of sustainable materials off the shore to generate a wave of steady height convenient for surfing. This would make Al Khan Beach one of the most attractive beaches in the Emirates.
