The 3deluxe designed high-end Asian specialty restaurant FUGU is offering an immersive 360° dining experience crafted around the visionary culinary concept of Berlin’s famous star chef Tim Raue.
FUGU is a sensory journey that seamlessly merges exquisite culinary pleasure with cutting-edge digital artistry.
A captivating digital layer of projections and dynamic light animations take the guests into mesmerizing virtual worlds — whether soaring above Tokyo’s glittering night skyline or diving into the depths of an enchanting underwater realm.
During the 5-course menu the guests are guided through a sensory journey through Japanese cuisine and culture. The projections, utilizing not only the walls but also the central light sculpture, create a unique atmosphere that elevates the culinary experience to a new level.
FUGU is more than a restaurant. It is an architectural setting for a curated, multi-sensory experience that connects space, technology, and human perception. On board the Mein Schiff Relax, the flagship of TUI Cruises’ new Intuition Class, the 3deluxe-designed venue demonstrates how interior architecture can activate emotion, narrative, and interaction.
Conceived as part of the ship’s overall spatial concept — including class development, exterior design, and open decks — FUGU reflects 3deluxe’s ambition to create purposeful, people-centred spaces for a future-oriented tourism sector.

At the heart of FUGU’s spatial concept is a sculptural light installation that functions as both a visual focal point and a digital stage. This central element works in tandem with floor-to-ceiling projections to immerse guests in atmospheric sceneries ranging from Tokyo’s urban nightscapes to abstract interpretations of Japanese aesthetics.
Throughout the five-course menu, Michelin-starred chef Tim Raue appears as a virtual host—guiding diners through the evening with personal stories and cultural insights. His narration, paired with responsive lighting and sound design, transforms the dining process into a carefully choreographed, multi-sensory narrative.
After dinner, FUGU shifts from fine-dining venue into a digitally enhanced lounge environment. Light, visuals and sound design reprogram the atmosphere—without architectural intervention. The bar, embedded in the central layout, supports this transition with minimal physical gesture and maximum visual presence.
Such transformative use of space reflects a broader 3deluxe principle: architecture as adaptive framework—responsive to time, mood, and guest behaviour.
