The new interior concept FlexStudios for the new Customer Experience Center of Mondi Group — one of the world’s leading suppliers of sustainable packaging solutions — was developed by 3deluxe as a future-oriented hub for innovation and collaboration.
The space unites working environments, brand staging and applied research in a progressive, holistic spatial concept that fosters exchange, creativity and immersive brand experiences in equal measure.
In a carefully composed spatial choreography, interactive co-creation zones, educational learning areas, functional workshops, flexible offices, open lounges, a show kitchen and atmospheric conference spaces merge to form an inspiring environment for dialogue and collaboration.
A continuous theme of sustainability runs through the entire interior. The choice of materials — largely drawn from the world of packaging — focuses on wood, paper and recyclable resources, complemented by lively Mondi-Orange highlights, expressive paper objects and lush greenery.
The result is an immersive brand space that combines design aesthetics, environmental awareness and functional intelligence in a holistic spatial experience — a statement for future-oriented working environments and sustainable brand leadership.
The Mondi Group is one of the world’s leading producers of packaging and paper. The company is renowned for its innovative solutions and strong commitment to sustainability. With a clear goal of making all packaging fully recyclable by 2030, Mondi is setting new industry standards.
At the FlexStudios Innovation Hub in Steinfeld, Germany, the company develops and presents sustainable packaging solutions in close collaboration with its customers.

THOMAS OTT – CEO OF FLEXIBLE PACKAGING AT MONDI
The sculptural centerpiece of the space is Flexpo, an impressive multifunctional exhibition area that doubles as a dynamic venue for workshops and seminars. This flexible, transformable structure integrates digital displays and immersive installations, inviting guests to explore and engage with Mondi’s innovations in a hands-on way.
BJÖRN ASMUSSEN – SENIOR ARCHITECT AT 3DELUXE
The Makerspace reflects the dynamic nature of product development. Flexible modules and mobile furniture support creative exchange and agile working. This area allows for the collaborative creation of customized, sustainable packaging solutions.
Whether hosting expert talks or events for up to 100 guests — movable walls, adjustable lighting, and flexible work zones adapt the space to changing demands. A spatial system that translates Mondi’s agile innovation culture into architecture.
The modern loft-like atmosphere of Gour.mondi invites guests to cook, eat, and share ideas. Large wooden tables and casual seating foster conversation, while a contrasting color concept visually separates the space from the functional areas. As a social hub, it complements the dynamic work and presentation areas.
A vertical plant installation and a custom-designed ceiling sculpture made from luminous orange Mondi packaging materials set bold, creative accents. This area unites key design elements of the FlexStudios and offers visitors a cohesive brand experience. At the same time, it serves as the central visual and functional link between the various spatial areas.
